Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for a Freelance Data Analyst to support our product, business and customer success teams with data-informed insights, using SQL and Metabase.

What the role involves

  • Help your colleagues find answers to their data questions using our data warehouse
  • Work with people across teams to build useful, actionable dashboards and reports
  • Write SQL queries for more advanced research that our self-serve tools can’t answer
  • Build Models and define Metrics, to enable more self-serve exploration
  • Help us build a data infrastructure (and team!) that can serve Steady and our Creators for the years to come
  • Be showered with gratitude – for helping answer complex questions (we have many!)

Tech stack

  • Metabase as our BI tool
  • Postgres as our database
  • Stitch for ETL
  • Hightouch for Reverse ETL
  • Plausible for privacy-friendly web analytics

Ideally you

  • Have actively worked with data before – at a job/internship at a product/SaaS company, in your spare time for a charity or meet-up, or in an open-source project
  • Have pretty solid knowledge of SQL (we use Postgres)
  • Bring some experience communicating and visualising data to others, so they can learn from it and take action
  • Effectively and proactively communicate and collaborate and know how to share the results of your work in an easily understandable manner
  • Share our values of respect, gratitude and trial-and-error
  • Like working with people from different teams and functions, especially our Product team and our Operations/Business team
  • Speak English fluently

We’re looking for someone who could join us on a part-time basis for 15-20h/week and we offer EUR 30/hour. We’re building our data team and looking for people who are excited to build it with us. You will be collaborating closely with our in-house Growth Manager, our Head of Operations and almost all teams across the organisation.

Steady is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and is building a team accordingly. It’s also really important to us to find the very best people we possibly can for our team, regardless of their background, and to be transparent so our recruitment process is a little different.

Even if you’re not sure you have the right experience, you can always get in touch and have a chat with one of us. We’d love to hear from you.
